London Report

After landing, we made our way through the labrynth that was Heathrow airport, and found our bus to our lodging.  Kathy spared no detail in arranging the lodging and transportation tips and directions, and they were SO helpful.  After a quick shower and chill time, we headed toward the bus, and then the tube (pronouced "choob" by the locals, we've learned) in order to get ourselves downtown for jet-lag treatment.

We managed to see, visibly, from the outside at least: the Tower of London, the Tower Bridge, London Bridge, Millennial Bridge, double-decker buses, Big Ben and Parliament, Buckingham Palace, the Eye (big millennial Ferris wheel), and a lot of London culture.  We even enjoyed shepherd's pie and fish and chips in a real London pub, formerly an ancient monastery.  Weee!  Successfully wasted from lack of shuteye, we are finally back to the room and ready to crash before the big day winging our way to Nairobi.  That flight will be about 9 hours.
